Once more, performers with various musical backgrounds from around the World gather in Berlin for an exciting, cross-genre evening of livelooping.
…but what is this livelooping anyway?
It is a technique by means of digital machines which allows a performer to record a musical phrase and play it back immediately and in theory, indefinitely. Further, layers of notes can be recorded on top of the original phrase to create an arrangement. Thus, the livelooping artist is able to compose an entire piece of music, part by part, on the fly. But it does not stop there…
